Privacy policy
This policy explains how RMCRENT16 LTD, trading as RMC Living UK ("we", "us"), uses personal data when you visit https://rmclivinguk.com, contact us or stay with us.
Who we are
The data controller is RMCRENT16 LTD (company no. 16385894), registered office Unit 8 Holles House, Overton Road, London SW9 7AP. Contact: [email protected] · WhatsApp +44 7514 740469.
What we collect and why
- Enquiries and messages (WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, email): your name, phone number or handle and what you write, to answer you and arrange your stay. Lawful basis: steps prior to a contract / our legitimate interest in replying.
- Bookings: name, contact details, dates, number of guests, payment status and the details needed for check-in (including identity checks where required). Lawful basis: performance of a contract and legal obligations.
- Reviews and feedback you give us after a stay. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in improving our service.
- Website analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or identify you. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
- Advertising cookies: only if you click "Accept" in our cookie banner do we load the Meta Pixel, which measures visits and clicks on our WhatsApp / Book direct buttons. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with "Cookie settings".
Artificial intelligence in our replies
Some of our messaging replies are drafted by an AI assistant. When that is the case we tell you at the start of the conversation, and you can ask for a person at any time by writing "human". A member of our team reviews escalations, complaints and anything unusual. We do not use AI to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share data with
We use trusted processors who act on our instructions: Meta Platforms (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Meta Pixel), Google (Workspace email), Cloudflare (website hosting, security and analytics), Beds24 (channel manager and booking records), ChargeAutomation (online check-in and payments), and AI model providers used to draft replies. Booking platforms you use (e.g. Booking.com, Airbnb) are independent controllers under their own policies. We never sell your data.
International transfers
Some processors store or access data outside the UK (for example in the EU or the USA). Where that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become a booking: up to 12 months.
- Booking and payment records: 6 years after the stay (tax and accounting obligations).
- Cookie consent choice: stored in your browser until you change or clear it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, ask for portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To delete your data, follow our data deletion instructions. Write to [email protected]; we reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
Cookies
Essential functions of this website don't use cookies. Your cookie choice is saved in your browser's local storage (key rmc_consent_v1). The Meta Pixel is only loaded after you accept.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page with a new date.
